Fault in 5F Module

So I have been trying to use my AMI port in the armrest for sometime now. I have tried numerous AMI cables. It never has worked. I scanned the control module with my OBD 11. It came up with a fault that said:
B128813 - Interface for external multimedia devices (MEDIA-IN) Open circuit. Obviously this is my problem. But what does this mean? Where can the open circuit be? Has anyone experienced this?

3) faulty connector on the AMI side
4) faulty AMI port
5) faulty MIB unit

With VCDS be able to determine what the problem is? If not, any suggestions?

Does the cable from the AMI port in the armrest plug directly into the MMI unit? I was checking all the cables in the back of the MMI unit but everything seems to be plugged in.

The Ami interface will be connected to the MIB unit via the yellow fakra and then green block in the quad lock.
