16487/P0103/000259 - Mass Air Flow (MAF) (G70): Signal too High

Possible Symptoms

  • Probably no serious malfunctions
  • Loss of power
Possible Causes

  • Wiring and/or connections (short circuit?)
  • Mass Air Flow (MAF) (G70) defective
Possible Solutions

  • Check wiring and connections
  • Check / Replace Mass Air Flow (MAF) (G70)

Check continuity of the EVAP solenoid, if that's okay then you need to check that there is a feed to the solenoid. Also check whether there are any breaks in the wiring to the solenoid.

The MAF code will require a logging session to asses how much air the engine is ingesting/thinks it's ingesting.

That doesn't mean it's any good though. New parts can be faulty too. Logging/diagnosing is required as just replacing parts willy nilly can get expensive.

If you are adamant the new MAF is good, then you need to start tracing back wiring checking for breaks, high resistance at plugs etc

will get it exchanged tommorow and fault codes were deleted last time
