My Audi A3 3.2 V6 recently turned my engine light on which turned out to be the dreaded P0430 emissions code.
I took the car to my local garage and he said change both downstream 02 sensors (post cat). So he did this. About 3 days later the engine light came back on, so I went to a mechanic who has a VCDS (The first mechanic did not have the VCDS). The VCDS said the problem was the wiring on the new sensors was the wrong way around, so I had them swapped over. This lasted 5 days and now the engine light is back on. I cannot go back to the guy with the VCDS as he claims to be fully booked for the next few months.
So I am DESPERATE for a reliable mechanic in the West Midlands area to take a look at the car and fix this emissions issue once and for all.
The car is a 2006 and drives perfectly, there is no loss of power, no rough idle, nothing like that suggesting the cats have gone.
So if anyone could recommend a reliable mechanic who won' t charge me the earth anywhere near the West Mids I would be most grateful.
Thanks in advance.
