on the ross tech's website i can get a vcds lite licence for $100 so about 60 odd quid, is there any limitations on having vcds lite i couldn't find a licence for normal vcds or does vcds lite turn in to proper vcds when a licence is bought?

basically i don't have a clue what im taking about

For an 8l A3 VCDS lite is fine, it's 'lite' because it doesn't come with a cable. It's fully working. You buy it and then a buy a cheap cable from ebay or wherever.

The only problem i see with the light version is you cant wipe all the fault codes from all the modules at the same time, other than that its fine (you are stuck with the laptop it is to be registered on too)

ah that's pretty gay, been stuck with the same laptop, surely there will be a way to move it around, ill put my computer wizard skills to work and see if there's a way to move it

if it registers to the hard drive it would be ideal to install it to a removable drive and then it would be movable that way or the long way round do as said above :p
