I have a 2003 A4 Cabriolet 2.5tdi and have a few things that I'd like to get done properly.

They just minor problems so would like to know where in west midlands or east midlands I can take it to. I done my own system diagnostic to find I need a tempreture sensor, but also noticed the following problems-

Heated seats don't work
Airbag light remains on (i don't know how to fiddle under the seats and the Modis diagnotic machine at my local garage didnt communicate)
the LED on the passenger door doesn't light up anymore, but the door does lock.
one of the tempreture sensors need replacing, i assume this is what causes a flat spot in my acceleration sometimes and the engine management light to remain on.

Is there anywhere other than audi that can sort these things out?

Thanks

I have a Modis and it does commuicate fine with Audi's, i've recoded various ecu's no problem. no communication suggests a live feed or earth problem on the specific ecu, check all the fuses and try again. Could also be a software problem on the Modis i think Snap On put out corrupt software on version 8.4 worth checking and easily fixed by the Snap On rep for free, latest software is 9.4 but that will cost a few quid:)

Once I select the right car on the snap-on machine, it communicates fine with engine management, comfort systems, radio etc. It just doesnt communicate with the airbag system and a few other systems. Either way, the diagnostic is not a concern, my main question is where I should take it to get the other little things done... I've heard most good garages will want to run thier own diagnostic anyway before doing work rather than rely on my codes?

I am from Dudley, near B'ham and also work/live in Nottingham! so somewhere between the two would be ok...

Thanks for the link for VW Audi Specialists, thats exactly the kind of thing I am looking for... Maybe taking it to Audi themselves would be too costly for such minor things like an LED and a tempreture sensor?? I am relying on your information.

Another thing I noticed today is that everytime I hit a bump in the road (even slight ones), I loose radio reception, I don't know how it comes back on but sometimes it does when I hit another bump lol, the antenna in the boot seems to be properly connected.

You could always try the Audi garage near Lenton Lane just to find out how much they would charge. You never know, you may be surprised. If their price is too high, at least you have a point of comparison.

My man in Potters Bar is no good to you then - he's a top notch auto electrician who is a wizard with cars (not just Audi's)

Good luck getting sorted

Midland VW Audi in Cannock come highly recommended, alot of the s3 boys use them....

And if you don't mind travelling into Birmigham I used Central Audi VW for a major service/gearbox oil change and rear brakes last July, very reasonable (same price as Midland VW, £250 cheaper than the dealers) very helpful and great service.

Hope that helps
