hi guys im new to this forum and looking at removing my concert radio from the car and retrofitting an alpine headunit as part of a standalone install (ie will not be hooked up to exisiting car wiring)
My biggest challenge is that by removing the radio i need to relocate the buttons that control the phone, car set up etc somewhere else, I had thought of obtaining a MMI console and extend the wires / fibre optics to suit but after talking the parts guy at Gilders Sheffield he's said that he doesn't think it can be done.
Just to be clear im not planning on hooking up the alpine unit so it plays on the exisiting screen its going to be wired totally seperatly.
The reason - I really like my music in the car and compete in car sound offs , I also like doing stuff that people say cant be done.
Any help or advice from you guys would be appreciated.
