hey up i,ve got a 2009 A3 2.0 TDI 140BHP What can i safely have it re mapped up to without any other modifications ie brakes , clutch etc and does it make it more economical if you drive it normally and not like Button?
The 2.0TDi engine is safely capable of going to 180-185hp with an additional 40lb.ft accross most of the rpm range. The standard setup in terms of brakes is more than enough to handle this much additional power.
We have been running our own 2.0TDi with this much extra performance for over 40,000 miles now without issue.
I have recently gone for the blue fin , Superchips , i am really pleased , i have also heard good things on the forum. I like the idea of taking it off if i want to , although i never had !
