ECU power boost units- Do they work??

Newbie question...saw a few different types of these on ebay, wondering if they actually work, they lie to ur ECU/Temp sender apparently..

do these actually work?? and if so, is the power boost guna be that much?? anyone had experiance with these??

running 1.6 so id like a bit more poke but dont wana waste my money spending 100's on an engine that is never guna be quick..

Give-it a miss mate, you are just wasting your time and money with that ! Save some dosh and buy the right car with the engine you want/can afford... Its like peeing in the wind tuning NA engines.

Agreed

It's not like tinkering with a MkI or II Golf Gti. These Audi cars weigh about 1400Kg (Golfs were 2/3 of that weight, with better 1.8 NA engines to start with)

The money you'd need to spend to start getting decent power-weight (not 100's but 1000's btw), you'd be better putting it towards a new car - sorry, probably not what you wanted to hear, but that's my opinion.

Tis just a resistor in a box. Probably does more harm than good.
