i've just seen a video on youtube of an a3 2.0tdi and on the dash when the car was accelerating there was a digital speedo where the mpg and avarage mpg readout normally is. can you set this up through the trip computer or is it a new feature??

I know my 09 car has it, you can access it through the dis.

Mine's an 07 and works like this, if you have DIS, press the thumb button on the underside of the right-hand stalk. Once takes you into computer 2, and twice takes you to the digital speedo read-out. I use this to set cruise control through average speed cameras etc...

I believe it was a feature of the DIS as of 2007 on. My 2003 model doesn't do it.

I have a 2007 and it does it if you press the menu buttons a few times.
