Engine sound on a 1.4 T FSI

I recently got a new 1.4 tfsi. Just wanted to know, is it normal for the engine to make some kind of rattling sound at idle-2000rpm? The noise goes after this. I don't experience any probs when driving. Just asking, because this is my first turbo car and wondering if its a normal rattle noise? As I have heard the TDI does this badly, but it's normal. Also the rattle doesn't go even when the engine is warm.

My 1.8tfsi sound's a bit diesel-esq when first fired up. I don't notice it now so much but when I first bought the car I thought they'd delivered the wrong one!

You are hearing the fuel injectors, all TFSI engines have a "diesel sound"

My 1.4 sounds exactly the same when starting up. It disappears after 10 mins or so. Are you enjoying the car? I love my wee 1.4.

My 2.0T is pretty "chuggy" sounding when started, it's not full on diesel clatter, but it's noticeable compared to a other petrols. I wouldn't worry.
