a3 elec window problems!!! plz help

hi all, i have very slow windows on my a3 and they get 4" from the top then return to the bottom, jave tried loobing the glass channel but this dont seem to work, any other idears or are they just worn out?????

Sounds like one of the plastic clips that holds the window to the mechanism has broken.
