R8 Reps on A3/S3

Anyone fitted R8 replicas on their A3/S3?

Would love to see how they look if anyone has any pics.

thettshop.co.uk do them in 18" & 19" for reasonable prices, wonder what the quality is like???

They seem like a professional outfit, remember reading about someone getting an 8 pot RS4 brake kit fitted to their S3 there and they'd nothing but good things to say about them...

I think they look good on a audi a3 saw one of the older models like 2000 with them on and must sya did look good. So will look good on a newer model.
And with the price there gonna be a good quality
I think you may be on about Andy has a black s3 with Rs4 breaks
And he did say the tt shop were great.

I think you would need large brakes behind them otherwise they will just look daft.

That's true Sem.

With so much space between the spoke you'd want a fine looking set of brakes, maybe a Brembo Sport kit with nice red calipers...

... then of course to justify the big brakes you'd need to get a remap...

... and by then the bank would prob' be wondering when you were going to start paying for all this.

TT shop do sell the better quality reps and they are good but these ones on ebay are identical. I know a guy who imports wheels and he reckons these are the same as the TT shop ones.

they actually look quite nice. I think they look better painted than they do in the machined finish.

I can supply you with a set of 19x8 ET45 (perfect fit) silver with polished face R8 reps as in the orange S3 pic. These will come with Kumho Ecsta KU31 tyres in 235/35/19 (much better than budget tyres) and cost £825 inc VAT and delivery. These a made in Taiwan so are very high quality.

I have ATS DTM Competition 8X18 et 45 and they rub against the rear wheel arch.
How much does one wheel weight and are they strong enough?

They only do the ET45 on the 19x8s, what tyres where you running on the 18s? I run 19x8 ET45 with 225/35/19 Contis on my 3.2 V6 and the rear is very low and I can get 4 people and a baby in without any rubbing. The 19x8 ET45 combo has always worked perfectly with 225/35/19 tyres for us.

with standard suspension .
It rubs when I hit bumps, only with 2 persons in the car

Im sure someones got the R8 wheels in a diamond cut finish. Black but with silver spokes.

They looked awesome and it were a grey/silver A3...

They do make an anthracite wheel with a diamond cut face, which looks fantastic. We had some black R8 reps with a red pin stripe that where quite nice, they where 19x8.5 ET45 so where not perfect. There should be some 19x8 ET45 and 18x8 ET45 coming soon though.

All the 19" reps from this manufacturer are around 13kgs each.
