During a recent trip to the dealer i had an A4 courtesy car (it was an 08) new shape A4 2.0TDI. I presumed it was a new CR TDI as it sounded different inside and out. Revved quite well and sounded nearly petrol like when pushing hard, not bad. I can however, confirm that it isn't anywhere as smooth as the 'old' 170TDI PD in my A3 in my opinion - so was happy to get my A3 170 S-tronic back - felt so much better to drive, steering nicer, just feels more nimble and much quicker.
