Well, finally purchased a Silver S4.
Just need the following info please

Oil, Whats the spec and what do you use?

Where in the Midlands (Leics, Birmingham) can I get a VAGCOM check?

Shes goes like Hot Snot' but just want to make sure everything is OK, thaats all.



Where does everyone meet and chew the fat?
I'd like to know a bit about these things.

Also, anyone got a copy of the Audi Workshop manual on CD I can purchase?

Well from that location it has to be a trip down the M40 to Banbury and MRC Tuning www.mrctuning.com

For about £50 (guesstimate) that will perform a basic health check - vagcom and pressure test.

It really does make sense. You'll either come away knowing it's all good and safe to blast around in or they will diagnose something that will potentially save you hundreds or turn the car into a different beast (if you have a underperforming MAF etc).

It can be sickly reading some of the recommendations for MRC but I do use them as I have used others but in this case they are just the ticket.

Oil should be synthetic. Synta Gold 5W40 from your dealer or a Mobil1 0W40 seem to be the popular choices.
