Standard Audi with "S-Line" badges patched all over

i seen it parked today in newcastle, very amusing indeed. Does the driver actually think he is fooling others or himself????

is it common for people to create impression they car is S-Line when it isnt??? i bet u S-Line owners arent very happy with that.

jus for anyone considering doing that, would S-Line owners just re-iterate to all, the difference between standard Audi and S-Line Trim, apart from the badges lol. come to think of it, are they any engine mods done to it (S-Line) by audi themselves???????

It happens ... it's all up to owner's liking ... you will see s-line badge on "non- sline" standard Audi's. And you will also see S3 aluminum wing mirrors on "non s model's". It's all about preference.

Many members on here think this is a "pussy" option. But my girlfriend loves it so I've got it anyways.

Audi Hill hold assist is activated when your car is sitting on an uphill incline, if you let go of the brake the car will hold position for you for 2-3 seconds before it starts rolling backwards, which gives you plenty of time to step on the gas. So you won't rock back and forth on an uphill when you are stuck in traffic.

in my opinion Hill Hold is very usefull, if anyone travelling up the A184 to Newcastle from A19 would know, at rush hour times its absolutely crawling and its a hilly road. some stupid drivers ram the car right up your rear bumper to top it off.

basically i think its very usefull to have, feet reactions arent always up to speed first thing in the morning, especially when i aint had a morning coffee

Probably easy enough to make the exterior look like an S-line.
The interior's a different story.
For example, my S-line has black headlining cloth, as opposed to the normal light cloth.
It would take a very determined individual to change that!
Changing a car to look like something else baffles me.
Adding badges, or debadging.
It just suggests you're embarrassed by what you have.

I'm considering doing just that, replacing them with Alpina ones.
That's not making it look like something it isn't though.
I'd object to Alpina badges on a 318D SE!
TBH, most debadged cars I see are BMW's, and invariably entry level ones.
That's just a bit sad really.
Like the lack of badge will camouflage the small wheels and the pea-shooter exhaust.
It's a 318i mate, deal with it!

Seriously I'm for keeping it natural, although briefly had a 2.0Tdi A6 S-Line Avant with no badges (for CO2 Cat Allowance reasons only!!) Nice car but a Bag of wind!!

I think as already said it's down to preference although I like really subtle mods think only thing i'm goin to do to mine when i get it is add the Audi standard rear spoiler just because I think it adds so much more to the shape.

Remember all those Standard Ford Escorts and Sierra's with Cosworth badges on them or am I just showin my age
