Solutions for a squeaky armrest??

depends on where it is squeaking. Is it the lid, or the base?grebowski said:
was it a retrofit or did it come with the car. if it came with the car have you had it out for any reason?
Make sure all fastenings are tight, then either use felt tape between the plastic joints or a silicone spray to try and alleviate the noise.

I thought mine was squeaking and it turned out to be the seatbelt clip, try moving that if it is in contcat with the seat.
Its the original armrest that was factory fitted, I think its the hinge section that is squeaking, its driving me mad! I've had a look at it but can't work out how to get the cover off the hinge section to lubricate it.

Iv'e heard some people use baby powder on mobile phones to stop creaks and squeeks, never tried it myself though!
Mine has been sqeeking/creaking for about 8 months, told Macclesfield Audi last week when the car had its 1st service, they just replaced it straight away, no questions!
May be worth going down the warranty route if the car is still in the warranty period?

Yes the car is still in warranty, Macclesfield Audi is my local dealer, its going in for a service next week so I will push them to sort it!
