I looked at a 2001 S3 today with 62k miles, as I am looking to buy, and noticed the heater control switches i.e temp up and down and fan speed up and down switches were quite worn (they still worked fine) they graphics were wearing off.. Its the new facelifted interior unit

Is this normal for a 62k miler are any of yours this age wearing off??

And also I know its picky but does anyone know if these can be replaced, Either individual switches or a whole new climate control unit ( I am guessing would cost a lot!!) or how to repair them and touch them up!! As its just nice to have little things like that smart when you buy a car imo!!

Any ideas/pointers would be great

Thanks

this is the case on my facelift 1.8TQ. Just on the plus button tho not the minus lol 87k on the clock tho but it still works fine too
