Just after some advice from other owners please.

I have a 70 plate Audi b9.5 A4 Avant in Vorsprung trim. Just after the warranty period ended (Dec 2023), my Navigation and Traffic Sign Recognition stopped working. I tried to reset the MMI (using the power / volume button trick) several times but it stayed the same. I found out that some of the Audi Connect licenses had expired so I had them renewed (which wasn't cheap either) and they are now showing as renewed in the licenses section of the MMI. However, I am still unable to use Navigation etc.

I spoke again with the Audi Digital team and they advised it was 'not a software issue' and that I need to speak to the main dealer. This week I finally managed to get in with the dealer and they have stated that it is a MMI fault, that I am out of warranty and that it will need to be reset in their workshop. They quoted me approx £440+VAT for this and that I would be without my car for 3 days, as this is how long it takes...which seems pretty mad for a software reset / update.

I just wondered if anyone else has experienced this? If anyone else knows of another way to sort this without losing access to my car for 3 days or having to pay that amount of money to rectify it?

I did contact an Audi specialist near me but they said that I would have to get this sorted at the dealers :(

Any advice or guidance would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Personally I would challenge Audi about this as it seems very coincidental your connect systems expired at the same time, that's not too easy it's linked, however Audi have had some really bad software issues on newer cars so it's not beyond possibility that this has shown as a bug, there maybe an mmi update, whose to know unless you can check with them.

Chat to Audi UK as it's literally only just outside of warranty & they should at least offer something.

Hello @skybluedave
Did your dealer update your software?
I have an MY2020 (though on a 21 plate) and also had this issue, but the reset cleared it for me.
What MMI and software versions are you currently running?

Separately, have you found with the updated subscriptions that the 20mph zones correctly show?
Mine tends to show the original 30mph and where it does pick up the 20mph on camera, it quickly reverts back to 30mph.
