Just after some advice from other owners please.
I have a 70 plate Audi b9.5 A4 Avant in Vorsprung trim. Just after the warranty period ended (Dec 2023), my Navigation and Traffic Sign Recognition stopped working. I tried to reset the MMI (using the power / volume button trick) several times but it stayed the same. I found out that some of the Audi Connect licenses had expired so I had them renewed (which wasn't cheap either) and they are now showing as renewed in the licenses section of the MMI. However, I am still unable to use Navigation etc.
I spoke again with the Audi Digital team and they advised it was 'not a software issue' and that I need to speak to the main dealer. This week I finally managed to get in with the dealer and they have stated that it is a MMI fault, that I am out of warranty and that it will need to be reset in their workshop. They quoted me approx £440+VAT for this and that I would be without my car for 3 days, as this is how long it takes...which seems pretty mad for a software reset / update.
I just wondered if anyone else has experienced this? If anyone else knows of another way to sort this without losing access to my car for 3 days or having to pay that amount of money to rectify it?
I did contact an Audi specialist near me but they said that I would have to get this sorted at the dealers
Any advice or guidance would be much appreciated.
Thank you.
