Recently done a smoke test on my S3 8L, smoke was leaking through the top of the hockey puck valve right on the edge, I have attached a photo.

I have an ever so slightly lumpy idle when the engine is hot after some spirited driving, but when the engine is cold or I’ve been driving some what conservatively, the idle can be a bit more erratic.

Do you guys think this could be the cause of my lumpy idle? Couldn’t see smoke leaking from the rest of the system.

See photo attached.

FYI, I have installed the Cloud9 catch can kit and this is a BAM engine.

If it's not air-tight then it could be a source of a vacuum leak, which can impact your idle. Honestly, if it's an original valve then it's probably done with life anyway, they're known to fail on 1.8T pretty often. You can get a new one for pretty cheap as long as you're OK with aftermarket parts.
