Any problems expected if I disconnect the battery?

There have been minor things to reset on other cars that I have known, such as reprogramming the electric windows.

If I disconnect the battery on my B9, will anything require to be reset on reconnection? And particularly, anything that cannot be done DIY? Thanks

It shouldn't affect it - if it's the original battery for the car (as in it's already coded to the car). I've often had to do this with work near airbags for example. Any errors logged to the car will be stored - so don't expect a reset as such, the only way to clear DTC fault codes is with VCDS.

A good practice if it's likely to be off for an hour or so - is put the existing battery on trickle charge while it's disconnected.
