NEWBIE NEEDS SOME HELP

Evening all im new just got myself a s3 1999. Sorry if this question has been asked before but im after a dump valve for my s3 but a lot of people have been telling me thats its not a very good idea to put one on my s3 as it will damage something??? Is this true im not after a serious noise just soemthing nice a suttle will do. My friend runs the same engine as me in his golf and he told me that you will get a better noise by putting a air filter on ????

What you need is a recirculating type dv like the forge 007p or the bailey DV30, if you want to hear it put an induction kit on.

Hi
The best thing for the noise and a bit of extra gains and superb throttle response would be an induction kit or a CAI
The only other thing would be the Forge SplitR
This is an atmosheric valve
The only one that can be fitted without bringing on any warning lights or cause any problems to the engine
It is the engine that tells the valve how much air can be distributed out in to the atmoshere without causing the problems
