Looking for some advice for my 2008 A4 with 100k miles. About a year ago all the front control arms and front shocks were replaced with Meyle HD set. Recently started hearing clunking noises when driving over any sort of bumps. Had a look with my mechanic and came to the conclusion that steering rack is shot. The trouble seems to be finding a replacement one - there's loads of used ones on eBay but can't tell if they're going to be any good or not. GSF and eurocarparts are all out of stock. The part no. of original is 8T2422065P. I found a listing on Lionautomotive.co.uk for remanufactured one but their reviews online seem quite bad.
Any recommendations where to find a replacement? Or perhaps anyone has some experience dealing with Lion Automotive?
