Hi , I’m new to this forum and wonder if anyone has a similar issue.
I have just purchased an 2017 8X Audi A1 1.4 tfsi sportback 148 bhp and now I’ve run it a few weeks I’ve noticed a sort of noise ( like a diesel rubble sort of sound) coming from the engine.
The noise seems to be there when going slow at around 20 mph slowly accelerating is when I can hear this low sound.
I have been back to the garage for a test drive with a mechanic who said “oh this is the characteristic of this A1 as it’s when the car is in 2 cylinder eco mode ???. When I said this doesn’t sound right to which he said , well the only way to convince me is for me to come back when they have another of the same model.
I would love to know if anyone with a similar model has noticed this sort of sound ?
