Avant Interior Boot Lid Light not working

Hi,

The interior light in the boot lid of my B9 Avant isn't working, even after replacing it. What's weird is that it doesn't seem to clip into any wiring. Does the light actually work there (I bought the car 2nd hand) and if so what else can I look at?

Did you check the old unit for any spring contacts even though usually boot lights have a loom.

I don’t think there would be any springs for this light.

Did it have a bulb or led unit inside, if not then it's just a reflector unit.

It had a LED unit inside but there's no wiring when you remove the unit. I think it's just used as a reflector but would be good to know if someone else who owns one can confirm this.

If it had an led unit inside then it probably has the loom fitted too tight & you'll have to remove the boot trim to check & access it.
