Hello guys.
I'm new to A1's as I previously had A3's and A4's.
I took a gamble on a 2011 1.4 TFSI with a stretched chain which I have rectified with some engine surgery.
After running a scan on VCDS (gen cable) I was left with a few codes.

I have done a bit of digging and it appears the steering fault is likely to be the clock spring unit but, I am wondering if any of these other issues are related to it. The headlamps were upgraded to LED units at some point so I don't know if the Headlamp range issue is connected?
Final question is, does the 6 speed manual gearbox give much trouble? Sat at idle it sounds like something scraping until I dip the clutch and it completely disappears. The car drives and gearchanges perfectly but the noise is horrible until the clutch is pressed.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

That was my first thought but it's completely quiet when pedal pressed which is the opposite symptom isn't it?

No I've had the same symptoms before and it was the thrust bearing. If it's noisy when pressed it's the dual mass flywheel
