Hi,
I have an A3 2.0L TFSI Quattro 2007 (Manual), and I have noticed there is a hard to describe noise from the front of the car (sort of sounds like a helicopter blade slowing down if that makes any sense ). It starts when I stop accelerating at high revs (3k+ RPM) and gets slower as the engine revs go down, but it only happens when in gears 3-6. If I'm going downhill and not using the accelerator, the noise gets louder. As soon as I start accelerating again the noise goes away. I have read so many threads but I can't find the same problem anywhere. There are no vibrations that I can feel and the steering doesn't feel any different. I'm at an absolute loss as to what it could be as I've not found anyone else describing the same noise.
Any help would be much appreciated
