Just seen someone mentioned the heads up display could be getting dropped on the vorsprung too, surely this can’t be ******* true. Will be a base model before we know it!
Not something l would have wanted anyways.....just get the price down accordingly Audi if this is the case.......Maybe their seat covering manufacturer will run out of black thread now how ironic would that be....

So a year the now for Riviera mate....???
I'd love to know but I'm not being told anything :tearsofjoy:
To be fair it's probably because they don't know either, but still it would be nice to hear something.
Judging by what the Interent is saying it'll be arriving in time for a 72 plate...
2 months down, many more to come.

I was going either Nogaro or Solar orange but l cannot justify the extra time waiting....its like a automated voice recording you get from salesman when you push the exclusive button "we are told a year" of which l cannot understand unless it involves staff cuts maybe furlough is still a fact of life for German automotive workers

Solar orange would look epic
Maybe the exclusive paint needs more semiconductor chips

Car viagra for oor Mr @Keano04 .....

hopefully mow they’ve done the Vader hatch they’ll get on with my saloon…

When it arrives standby for my for sale ad, yours for a mere £90k

I think I’m going to refinish the wheels in a different colour. That’s very black… it does turn down the spotlight on the front grill a bit which is good though.

Proper stealthy though. Will go under the radar of many/most I imagine

I'd go for that gone and then the elec tailgate followed by the sticky bits on the wheels :)

No, because there's nothing wrong with it!:tearsofjoy:
It’s actually not even that bad in person, rs5 I sat in had one very similar if not the same and I was surprised - not as nice as the flat bottom given but was it was nice. Pics make it look awful lol

Yeah the pictures do make it look a lot worse than it is. I didn't really notice it in person.

I’m sure it is better in person & is just not very photogenic :tearsofjoy:

$hi7e compared to flat bottom though ;)

Yes I totally agree but the ballon on the Rs3 is £24513 the 8R is £13890 .
I always buy a car with the intention of owning it out rite at the end .
I could stomach a £14k balloon 25k on the other hand not so much .

I've looked at HP for the Rs3 30K deposit £450 for 60 months
I didn't pay £450 a month for my S3 and my mortgage combined
Sorry to correct, but your figures are way off. I'm looking to PCP a Vorsprung and 25k down thru Audi finance at 6.4% and its 258 a month with balloon of 30k...see screenshot

So that would cost you £37000 over 4 years? then you just give it back? (excuse my ignorance ive never done a PCP)

At some point it’s going to start becoming a farce

Gents is there anything they could add to the car that’s not on it already that isn’t chip related ??

In regards YouTube access - I think Audi may have some sort of event coming up this month. I am not sure on this yet but reading between the lines that may be the case and unfortunately I haven't been invited to it yet (if it is happening) despite repeated emails to Audi PR who do actually know who I am...

That’s a good question. I haven’t done PCP either and trying to get a handle on best way.

Having said above, I did buy my Golf R on PCP to get deposit contribution and cheap servicing plan, but I then paid it off immediately.

There seems to be two approaches either put low deposit done so you don’t tie up too much cash , but pay high monthly amount.
Or pay large deposit and low monthly amount (possibly with intention that you then pay balloon payment to own outright.

As cars are depreciating assets I think you are looking at the GFV as a marker of market value. But I suppose in the case of RS3 which has been historically a slow depreciator then then market value is likely to be higher than GFV which gives an amount of “equity”.
So I stand to be corrected , but I think the guys aim to get back all or part of their deposit with the difference between market value and GFV on PCP.

Anyone out there with more experience of PCPs please let us know their approach and thoughts. Thanks

99% of people will finance it surely as who has £60k lying around? On that basis most people will pay interest. You can just pay the balloon and keep the car at the end.

Always amuses me this.

I believe the PCP figure for new car purchases is around 95%, £37k seems a lot to lose over 4 years suggesting the car would only be worth around £20k ?

Although yours was 60months.

@Mr Freeze was saying HP over 60 months, which means no balloon and car is owned outright after the 60 months. Always much more expensive monthly as you are financing 100%.

Either hand back, or P/X and any value left over finance balance towards new car, or pay £30k balloon and own it

I guess the ''any value left over'' would be a contentious point,

One of my concerns would be the timescale, I decided to keep my Golf a further couple of years because there was nothing out there that appealed to me when my car got to 3 years old, there was no Golf 8R, no RS3 etc

I'm paying cash for mine, I've done PCP in the past but not when the interest rate is so high. I don't understand the gap between official interest rate and car finance right now, and it's just not competitive.

Yes, it can be, especially if a vehicle doesn’t hold its value. Never been an issue with RS models however, and even less so in the current climate

Audi at the moment is particularly high across the board. BMW/Mini at a more sensible 3.9% (used to be 2.9%)

My theory (unsupported) all cars that don't have any top speed increases will have Bridgestone fitted.
Ooooh, now there's a good thought. I suppose that'll be backed up if the pictures of all the launch editions show Pirelli's, I haven't looked to confirm or not though.

Edit: Just with a quick look, the black LE has Pirelli's on it and the grey LE in Glasgow has the Bridgestone's. So it looks like it's just the usual Audi special and throw on whatever rubber they have laying around...

Agree, tyre availability, besides both Pirelli and the Bridgestones are likely to be rated well past the top speed of 180, or whatever it is

That’s my S3 sold to WBAC. £37,000 less the admin fee of £74 or something stupid.
That’s £8k in my pocket. Never haggled with me and the chap was brand new. (Took it elsewhere as opposed to the first one I took it to.)
