Convertible roof stopped working altogether

So now when I try to open the roof it doesn't even attempt to do anything.
All I get is a message in red in the message display saying...
Soft top cannot be used.

I've had my scanner on it (electronic roof module) and all its showing is...

01317 passive/sporadic instrument cluster control no signal/communication

00532 active/static supply voltage-lower limit not reached.

I've no idea where to look now, or what I'm looking for does anyone have any ideas....
