How To Remove Fuel Cap Actuator

I have Audi A3 2009 facelift model. I need to replace the fuel cap actuator, and wondering how to remove it. Do I need access from the boot to unscrew it or can it pull off from the fuel cap side?

Remove rear side cover & unscrew from inside, remember to prefit the red plastic pull cord through the side trim before closing up again.

Thanks, so I will need to unscrew from inside the boot. I was hoping it was some sort of a pull off fitting.

By the way, it still works at times and doesn't at others. Do you think WD40 would work?

They get water damaged & rust up inside, same as A6, A7 etc, best option is to change.

You have an 8V, this is the 8P section, different setup.
