Hi all,

I’m looking for some help.

I have a 2007 A3 sport back 2.0 TDI 170 that has decided to blow white smoke from the exhaust on acceleration with a strong smell of burning especially when first started or idling.

there is no lack of power or problems starting ect. I have had the head pressure tested and no issues so I’m presuming no coolant leak. she ticks over fine (apart from the smell) and drives well (apart from the white smoke, which only comes out at first start and over 3k on the Rev limiter when driving, if you rev the engine past 3k static no smoke).

From everything I’ve seen online white smoke is head issues or injectors/fuel pump, is this what you guys think?

it has me stumped as like I say although you get the smoke the car doesn’t want for power.

any help is massively appreciated.

Thanks
Dan
