Dashcam Installation

I’ve bought a Nextbase Dashcam for my wife’s A1 and I was wondering which fuse is the best one to connect it to? Has anyone else hardwired one of these?

Yes, but I think this runs from the battery in the cam.

Batteries are no good in that environment.

connect it to a ignition switched fuse, test with a voltmeter to find one

Then you loose the ability to record the highest incidents of supermarket etc car park bumper cars .

Very true Gazwould if the camera has that facility, I've machine polished mine and it doesn't go any where near supermarket car parks or and other parks for that matter, so if you need that option of a live camera then a permanent 12v is your option, there are plenty in the fuse box.
