S3 8P Cruise Control Retrofit

Hey all,

Just a question out of curiosity and making sure I've done everything correctly really.

I've just installed cruise control on the S3 following Avus Sportback and Sijones guide on here which was excellent

I've coded everything I need to on the steering wheel (Module 16, changed option to 4 - board computer with cruise control) and on the engine long coding (Module 1) to which I activated cruise control. The only thing I wasn't able to do was log in to the engine ECU as I do not have the security access code so I didn't change anything there.

However my cruise control is fully functional. Is this normal or is this a fluke? Any pointers would help here although if it's working I'll probably just keep my head down and let it be

Pre-facelift 8P if it makes any difference?

Only needs 16 & 01 coding, so you did it all as required.
