Hi everyone

So a little bit of backstory , about 12 months I got a cambelt fitted and it has always been hard to start after that ! Couldn't get the guy to fix it again so I look on vag com and see that the torsion reading is -4 degrees and idle fuel consumption is about 1.1L/h ( I've read it should be 0.6L/h )

When I looked at injector reading one did seem higher than the rest .... Is it worth running cleaner through the tank ?

So I change the inlet cam to give a value of -0.35 and the start straight away seems much better and I read that I should also adjust the exhaust cam to get 0.6l/h but I keep adjusting it back and it hardly changes ! Keep going until the engine starts misbehaving and even got a tapping at one point .... So I've now left this set back at 1.1L/h

Now as I drive the car the power seems really reduced ... It used to have a very sharp period of acceleration now seems very dull...

(Engine is BKD 2.0tdi 170)

Could anybody help me out with this ?

Cheers !
Rhys

Just drove again ( from cold ish and outdoor temp about 3 degrees ) and it wasnt that easy to start and power band seems to be much higher ....

Idle also seems a lot smoother , but still hard to start and apparent some loss of power

Injector quantities are -0.28 0.22 0.40 -0.33 ( time 1) and -0.31 0.27 0.32 -0.27 ( time 2 ) ... could anybody confirm these are normal ?

Cheers

I didn't know the BKD came in A4 170, are you sure and didn't mean BRD?

I have some screenshots of mine somewhere, will have a look
