So i recently installed heated seats in my a3 after swapping my standard interior with the full alcantare one.
The seats have lumbar support and massage function, they both work but my heated seats don't want to for some reason. I swapped my climate control unit with a compatible one with the heated seats buttons, but when i press it, the lights go on and go out again after a second or 2. I activated the heated seats option in the ecu in channel 09 byte 03 bit 2-4. I think the cable setup is correctly installed as i had diagrams of where to put them and followed them correctly. I'm pretty handy at diy retrofitting after doing a few before on my car, but on this on i'm all out of ideas.

Ps:
Might an ecu reset do the trick, or should i go to an official audi dealership for help?

It might. The climate control with the heated seats buttons comes from a donor car. All the other functions work tho.
Hi Mate,

Did you manage to make it work, and if so would you be able to throw together a quick guide?

I've got my eyes on some half leather heated seats and the Keypad Climate that includes the heated buttons, what else will I need ? New wiring ? I've got access to a VAGCOM.

Appreciate any help, winters coming would be a nice mod to have.

I believe the climate control module has component protection. Do a scan and look for the component protection fault.

No, i haven't come around to fixing the issue due to lack of time. But all you really need tho is just a wiring kit and some tools to remove your seats and some trim parts. The only "hard" part is removing the climate control unit as you need to remove the glovebox which houses the radio and which can only be removed by some special keys that you have to insert into those little slits. You can find them in your local auto store or just order them from ebay like i did. After you removed the glovebox, you're gonna need 2 small flathead screwdrivers to insert between the 2 BOTTOM clips of the climate control unit. You will have to have them locked in between the clips at both sides and press outward in the middle for easy removal. Also, if you want, i can give you my instructions manual i got with the wiring kit. Mind you, it is in german but google translate can make quick work of that.
