S3 turbo to intercoooer charge pipe

I noticed last week on my Stock S3 when changing the oil, that there was thick oil mist around the bayonet on the rubber pipe that connects the I/C and charge pipe. There will be boost leaking.

Now I like a bit of turbo sound, so was looking at one of the many turbo muffler delete and metal charge pipe kits. However these still have the bayonet fixing for the OE I/C hose.

Is there a kit that completely gets rid of the bayonets? So turbo to the S3 metal end I/C with just metal and silicone pipe work?

Why don’t you try replacing the green O ring seal first?

Makes sense!

It just seems strange that the kits, especially the S3 ones dont get rid of the bayonet fixings. Silicone with decent jubilee clips is surely answer between the metal charge pipe and I/C
