Hey all again,

I've read some threads .... Didn't find what I'm looking for ....

Basically my driver door window won't go down .... When I press the button, it'll make a clicking noise in two spots ....

Sometimes when I've switched the car off and then on again the window would start working .... Not anymore.

Sometimes when I open and then quickly shut the door, my window would start working .... Not anymore.

New main window switch a few months ago.

Soooooo I assume I have a loose connection or a broken wire?????

Suggestions? Where to start?

Have you scanned. Pretty sure a faulty regulator will throw up a code.

Failing not having VCDS, take off the door card and test continuity between wires whilst moving the loom about hoping that you'd find a dodgy wire.

Most likely the door harness, I had the same problem as yourself. Broken wire, soldered it and ensured it was covered in heat streak and it’s been faultless.

Just unclip the harness from the car body side and pull it back.

Thanks for the suggestions .... I'll get a friend or mechanic to vcds test it ....
