What did you do to your audi today

Ok thanks. Was that front and rear?

Audi only ever fitted them to the front wheel arches, I got my local Audi dealer to order them in as normally buying in from Lithuania or Croatia costs a bit more.

Edit:- Stoneguards LHS and RHS 8K0 853 823 and 8K0 853 824

Picked up some pedals today off Dave (Bulldog) on here. Instantly looks so much better than the originals. Now I just need to find someone selling the foot rest.

P.S. Dave's car is looking great and omg it was clean!! Made mine look very dirty and I'd washed it minutes before going to meet him.

Thanks Darren & nice to meet you yesterday.

Had a bit of a re think with the front arch protection today. The mudflaps are from the b8.5 and don`t "officially" fit the b8. Which is tosh as they obviously do. Was a bit reluctant to pay out for them, but they do cover the initial signs of corrosion.

Wife has a new A4 Black edition and they now fit them to the rear arches. Is this due to rear arch corrosion on the 8.5`s?

I would have thought that the B8.5 has roughly the same profiles on the rear wheel arches, which lead me to consider that was why Audi never fitted these to the rear - as well as the bumper, if I remember correctly, on both B8 and B8.5 comes quite far up the rear wheel arch.

Now I'll need to check up on more cars!!

Looks spot on nice work, looking at photos did you have to cut down the stone guard to fit the flaps?
Thanks. Fortunately no cutting required! I had fit the stone guards with 3M tape. So when i decided to fit the flaps as well, I just had to unstick and move them up an inch. All fit well together now

Mine was in for wheel colour change during the week... just need to track down centre caps and bolt caps to finish it off.

Finally got around to doing the drivers door central locking actuator today, I can finally open my own car without looking like I’m trying to steal it (I’d usually hold unlock on the keyfob to lower the windows slightly then reach in and open from the inside)

Funny

Reattached the dash cam which had fallen off due to the heat (suction mount). Happens every year when it gets hot enough but usually only once. This also neatly tests the alarm works.

Hope I`m not too late, but the ones advertised on ebay do not fit. I just cleaned my original caps, primed with plastic primer and a satin black top coat.

Cheers for the tip off Geoff. Unfortunately I already tried one set to find that they fell out!!! I’ve now managed to find and order the right part number and it states that they’re 62mm, unfortunately had to pay a bit more for them and then postage from Germany as well but hopefully they’ll be right.

The genuine Audi bolt caps from the dealer are literally pence each.

The bolt caps aren’t an issue, I picked up 20 of them in black with the removal tool from eBay for just over £3.

Finding the wheel centre caps with part number 8T0 601 170 in black was not an easy task at all though. Still, hopefully the replacement that I’m waiting for will be the ones though.

Searched for a rattle under passenger side of car today did find a slightly loose heat shield and snapped cable tie all fixed but noise still there.

Quick wash and polish while the weather was nice. Also gave my girlfriend’s A5 a quick wash (was detailed last week so nothing more needed)

Retrofitted a B9 frameless rearview mirror (8W0857511989) on a B8.5

Straight swap albeit for the left indicator error the computer is now throwing... Dunno how I'm gonna fix this one cos I don't have either schematics, so will probably play around with the wires and see if I can get rid of it without shorting anything...

Swapped chrome rings for black. Sods law the front one had a clip broken in the post so hopefully getting a replacement asap.

Now need to think about swapping the S4 badges for dark ones...
