2006 vehicle.
Performed double din conversion
CAN Gateway is 1K0 907 530 G

Vehicle uses CAN to switch Headunit on

Have a Synphony Headunit (8P0 035 195 M) with Quadlock to ISO conversion harness to make it work with the car.

The Headunit performs its internal cd changer alignment when the Quadlock connect is attach but the head-unit is not switching on as not detected in the can bus gateway. Any help?

I have analog Headunit enabled but it does not work.

Can someone with a symphony Headuni please get the part number of their CAN gateway. I’m under the impression that mine isn’t compatible with it so isn’t turning on

My 54reg a3 had a double din conversion from single din and an aftermarket rnse style touchscreen stereo fitted which works fine with no issues (apart from radio cannot be reached error on vcds)

my canbus module is version D if any help

The issue is using can bus to wake the head unit, after market ones use ignition to turn on

Your unit likely isn’t connected to the CAN network hence has the radio cannot he reached message

Had a quick flick through that thread.
Seems intense just to fit a symphony!

Would fitting an rsne also be as complicated?

Modified this:https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-A3-A4-A6-RNS-E-Navigation-Retro-Fit-Plug-Play-Adaptor-Wiring-Harness-Lead/400836240150?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

After a lot of googling creating my own pin to pin schematic diagram, ended up with chopping about 6 unneeded wires, and added a Kl30 constant 12V to the DI SENSE pin which was my actual issue. ( I soldered this inside to the PCB of the headunit since I didn't have an additional wire for the QuadLock).

K-Line and several others are underpopulated in most Audi's.

Works now as factory with MFSW etc...
In future 10 min job now that I understand the crappy naming conventions used between different Audi Headunits.

Nope . Firstly if you have a quadlock already in the back off your head unit plug into Rnse . You might have 2 Fakra connections plug them in and if your very lucky your nav might come with a blue Fakra cable GPS which goes to top left .
Then push it all back in enter rnse code ( pin to start Nav, hope you got one when you bought as this starts the nav ) and then you should be fine but check all functions on steering wheel work .
I found that my telephone bit doesnt work but all else does .
