Can anyone help me with the below faults on a 2007 Audi S4 Cabriolet with 82000 miles on the clock? I have changed the plugs and ignition coils as well as try to swap them but still get the misfire.

Did the misfire move when you switched spark plugs or ignition coils? If not, then it may be fuel injector related.

thanks for getting back to me. Really appreciate it. No, the misfire did not move when i swapped. I have just done a vag-com test to measure the misfire counters and cylinder 1 seems to be the culprit. The tests are as follows:

148--- Misfire Counter --- Cylinder 1
0 --- Misfire Counter --- Cylinder 2
0 --- Misfire Counter --- Cylinder 3
0 --- Misfire Counter --- Cylinder 4
0 --- Misfire Counter --- Cylinder 5

You could move the injectors around to see if that’s the culprit but that’s a lot of work to do that. If you do have a bad injector you’d be best changing them all at the same time. Unfortunately there’s no good way that I’m aware of to just look at the injector and see if it’s bad.

The misfire should get worse as you really romp on the gas pedal which would help reaffirm that it is likely the injectors.
