Resync audi key for windows down?

Hi,

My driver side window does not work so I have to use my key to close it. However I just changed my cars battery and not its been desynced.

I resynced it once before in this scenario. I remember following a post which said to hold lock button whilst turning the key in the door but I cannot remember the exact steps.

The rolling windows down and holding it for 2 secs and then up again does not work for my case.

Can anyone give me a guide to resync my window?

• Sit in car with it running
• Push and hold both front window switches until they're all the way down + a couple of seconds extra
• Pull and hold both front window switches until they're all the way back up + a couple of seconds extra
• Do the same for the rear two windows.
• Then press a window down button once and check that auto roll down now works.
• Turn off the car and press unlock button on key.
• Open door for a few seconds.
• Close door.
• Insert key to ON (Don't start) - Wait 10-15 seconds
• Turn key to off, remove key.
• Press lock, then unlock.
• Get out of vehicle and now try to wind down windows with holding the key button.

This is the procedure I saved from ages ago. No idea where I found it.
Also, I have no idea how much of the process is actually needed but for some reason it works for me.
