So, after the range drops to 5 miles, the next message is "Please refuel immediately!" accompanied by the thought that I should really have stopped sooner........and just how heavy will this feel to push?

Give it one last foot to the floor in sport and at least you will have some momentum. Then just open the door and push along with your foot like a skateboard around 20 mph

The reserve is quite big you will find, at 0 miles mine (54litre tank) only takes 50 to top up, so you depending how your driving it 20 miles comfortably.

I managed to get 49.7 litres in so I'd say you're right, another 20 miles will be OK. I found with the last car (the hard way), that when the range went to zero I could get 22 miles of town driving.

The guys are carthrottle managed to get 100 miles out of the Honda I remember.. how was that even possible?
