Hi guys,

Due to moving abroad with my job in the new year I sadly have to get rid of my year old FL S3 (spec in signature). As it's on a PCP I'm clearly in negative equity at the moment so I want to minimise this by giving it to an independent or Audi dealer who can sell it on my behalf and take a small % cut of the total sale (I don't want to sell privately). Can anyone recommend any dealers who offer this service? I'm based in the Hertfordshire & Buckinghamshire area but happy to travel further out. Or, if anyone on this forum is interested in the car, let me know! Thanks

I had my S5 up for a sale or return with these guys for a couple of months:

http://www.kingsroadgarage.co.uk

Fee was £1500.

Didn't have much interest so used a site called Tootle and this dealer ended up buying it off me for basically what I would have ended up with had I sold it through the garage minus the fee.

He's based in Essex, came one evening, sent the money over and collected the car. Settled the finance myself the next morning and that was it..Nice and easy!

Good luck :)

Thanks @DrEskimo I've driven past Kings Road Garage a few times and they have an S3 at the moment which they've had for a while. I'll pop in there as its nearby to see if they're interested. I'll also give Tootle a go. My local Audi dealer were offering next to nothing, the mark up they make is ridiculous!

Put it on autotrader for just under £50 and you will get plenty of sale or return offers.

I sold mine back into an Audi main dealership via Autotrader at a far better price than direct to dealer

Then you probably would have seen my S5 in the window a couple of months back :)

I would try going direct to Mantis, rather than through Tootle. Tootle told me they do most deals with him anyway, and you might get a better deal going directly. I got rubbish deals from everyone else, so I can believe it.

His name was Ant. Nice chap.

Hi mate, I used to work at Watford Audi and we did a sale and return on a TTRS at the time. Admittedly that's the only example in my time there, but it may be worth giving them a bell to find out if they can do it with an S3 especially as you're in the same sort of area as me so they're not far from you.

The best place would be the Audi dealer you bought the car from! They will be a lot more willing to help and may give you better return

Told me no with my S5 :(

Again...sadly they would only offer me a poor trade in, not a sale or return (Amersham Audi FYI).

I've been into Watford and they don't do Sale & Return, Amersham Audi didn't want to know - had too much stock apparently. I'll give some of the independents a go.

I bought the A5 from the same place I bought the S3, they were offering me the same as we buy any car, evans halshaw etc. for the S3! They say it costs them £2,000 to prepare your trade in for sale....that's a load of bull! :D I sold it to a sports car specialist in the end for a lot more!

It only costs them MPC which is £250, £100 for valeting and then the VAT on the profit they want to make from it. That’s the only costs. Who was the specialist? I wanna sell my RS5 and I have agreed for my local Audi to sale or return it. But I’d rather sell it first if I can

Autorader all day it's simple cheap and S3's sell like **** off.... a shovel, just mark it up a few hundred quid as they'll barter with you...... Autotrader will give you a fair valuation on its said mileage and condition, it's a no brainer...... Most Audi dealers won't be interested sale or return...... If your car has a nice spec it will sell quickly..... Poor spec cars stay on the proverbial shelf for longer
Ps l sold my 2015 S3 within 2 days of placing the ad back at the start of October
