I found my car not performing how it should (jerky, no boost until higher revs on occasion then a surge, limp mode plus glow plug light) So thought id do the swap of inlet manifolds bmn to bkd.
Ive just taken my inlet manifold (plastic) off my 2007 audi a3 bmn.
Found the egr is very sticky so giving that a clean. Also found one of the swirl flaps to be broken. Im guessing this is a couple of my issues!

I recently had a carbon clean in may. Not sure the carbon would build up that much that quickly as there was a lot! Im a bit unsure on how the carbon clean works and if its worth the money.

Will be putting the bkd mani on tommorow and provide an update.

After weekend testing the car feels brand new. Boost feels spot on and the whole car just feels alot smoother. No limp mode on my long drive. 5th, 6th gears pull very well indeed! Feels as though its had a remap.
It was propably a combination of broken swirl flap and sticky egr valve.

Hi mate,

Can you tell me what led you to do the swap, and is it a known fix for the issues?
