Ideas to liven up F1

Just a few ideas to liven up the F1 racing scene, it used to be so good but now has become v. predictable so here are some thoughts (IMHO)

1) Start all races with dwarf throwing on the starting grid. Obviously Bernie Ecclestone would be part of this display!!!

2) At least three races to be run by a 'draw'. Basically you get to drive a car otuside of your normal team. If this is done with strict supervision it means it is a true battle of drivers rather than just cars!

3) Get Murray Walker back

4) Get it back on the BBC so the adverts don't get in the way of the action!

1.Have half the field going clockwise, and the other half anticlockwise.
2.Have a 'run to your car' start.

Point 2 should make Point 1 even more intersting on the first lap. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Old hat mate, they called 'Jordan Racing', but they have just been bought out by an outfit called 'Bang Racing', same colour livery, one driver but with the same results BOOM BOOM.

Or have a support race which contributes points the the main standings in which they all drive painted and modded Sinclair C5's or Citroen 2CV's

b) smaller fuel tanks = more pit stops (no more boring 1 stoppers)

c) HUGH rear wings that really do all cars to get into the slip stream from over 50 metres back...

Formula Palmer Audi have 3 shots of overboost per race IIRC

On a serious not i think the fastest qualifiers starting at the back is a good idea.

James Bond type mods to the cars may be fun?
Machine guns, oil slicks, remote ejector seats opperated on a random basis by telephone poll, christ anything would be an improvement. Make it less safe, bit of blood and gore perhaps? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

1) Put a loop-the-loop on the track
2) Put a cross junction on the track and a jump like in scaleletrix
3) Topless woman holding the time boards (bound to cause a accident or 2)
4) Give drivers a laxitite before start of race (bound to make them go faster and overtake to get to finish quicker!
5) Finaly put a white transit van on there to show them real speed!

I think they should just do races by fastest lap....it's kind of unfair to start anywhere other than pole....and be expected to win, against other professionals. unless they are really crap. What do ya think>

Sorry just spent all weekend at the Moto GP being one of the trackside Doc's

Almost managed to collect Rossi, Stoner, Melandri, Roberts as Melandri caught the kerb and wobbled.

Was a great weekend, extremely hot though, especialy sat next to the track, (air temp 30, track temp 48)

Great fun to watch, absolutely no intention of getting on one though. Dodged the loony riders all the way home again

I reckon that in order to have more excitement in F1 we should quit some electronics devices currently helping drivers not to make mistakes.

Although it may be a security issue and people may not like this, it is a good way to add chill to that show, that is becoming more boring with the years.

get rid of that crazy fool Max for a start, mad he must be hitting the shrooms hard, some of the stuff that man has come out with is comical

UNlimited engine capacity, unlimited power, but proper genuine road tyres, not road legal race tyres, propper 205/40/17 Bridgestone potenzas. There would be no point making anything that would do more than 180mph as this would be the max for the tyres, so all teams could build a car that would out power the tyres without massive ridiculous budgets.
Oh, and to stop "cheating " or creative bending of rules, each race, the three podium cars are available for purchase to any other team for £150k each. And the first dibs goes to the team whos car finished last!!

Imagine 1000hp beasts melting tyres in about 3 laps against 250hp cars that can get 20 laps out of them!!

Oh and Spaniards driving French cars get blackflagged and docked time for doing anything that a random panel of spectators deem is "being a nob!" LOL
