After a lot of research and questioning I've finally got myself an s3, thanks to everyone that took the time to answer my questions about the s-tronic box.
It's in really good condition but needs a little bit of maintenance as it's been 18 months since it's last service!
It needs:
A major service
Spark plugs
Dsg service
Haldex service
Cambelt and water pump
And the little clip that hold the sun visor in place which annoyingly broke on the way home
After that I'm just going to enjoy the car for a while- I am a true DSG convert after just 2 days of ownership!
First thing on the mod list is cruise control, can anyone point me in the direction of what's needed. I've done it on golfs in the past but that's a single stalk swap, does this age of s3 have a dedicated stalk?
Then maybe in the future look into remaps for the engine and dsg
