Boost problem S3 apy

I should have taken off the turbo when I did the head gasket and downpipe - I was tempted but knew each bit I took off would lead to the next bit etc.. if I do it again it may as well be with a new engine (with upgraded internals) and a different turbo - baby steps I reckon

K04 can be removed relatively easily with the engine in leaving manifold in place... have done a couple... not as easy as a K03 but can be done...

Just to let everyone know.... its a real c**ty job but its all done now fitted a 3" downpipe and decat while i was at it aswell

Well done! Did you use a ramp or was it a driveway job? My 3inch down pipe was such a ballache to fit, would never have done it without the help of a good mate but doing it on the driveway makes things a lot harder especially when it's gravel!

What downpipe did you use?

You got much of them CHRA's left Bill? My turbo has a fair bit of foward/backwards play + i'm pretty sure my waste gate is stuck open but i'm still going to diagnose it during the week
