Does anyone know how long a DSG gearbox should last if properly maintained? And if so, is there any legitimate Audi literature that states the lifespan.

Need it for a court case against a dodgy dealer.

Mine is at 195k KM and had the regular 60k KM oil changes (3 until now, confirmed by history, the last one I did myself, 13km overdue). I don't know about audi officially listing any numbers (nor can I find anything on google right away, so...)

A gearbox is designed to last the life of the car. DSG gearboxes are very complex and a lot depends on the service history of the car. They require oil services every 40K miles with the correct oil. Even if they are serviced correctly failures can still occur due to the very complex nature of them.
Clutch packs do wear out and these may need to be replaced but at high mileages.
How many miles has the car done and does it have a full service history.
Good luck taking a car dealer to court.
