£171 for first oil change

No, mine is a 1.4 COD. I would've thought Newcastle would be the same as they're all part of the Lookers group (Newcastle, Wearside, Middlesbrough).

The Wearside dealership has just moved premises. Everything is brand new, it's quite nice.

Audi Newcastle said that is only for cars >3 years old and have quoted £225 for the oil change. I'll be going elsewhere!

Wow. That's a p*ss take. I thought it would be cheaper for a newer car.

It is very strange! Is your car over 3 years old?
Just checked the logbook. 3 years old on the 5th of May. Needless to say if they tried to charge me £225...I would've been straight out the door

First service, oil change and check £164 done at 12000 miles, phoned about my inspection service (rape charge) 3000 miles later to be told £219 without the oil change, asked what would be done and was told that there would be nothing changed inspection only. Now I know it's a premium brand but really £219 for an inspection wtf. Anyway I noticed that the service had been changed from flex to fixed without my consent, phone call to Audi UK basically to say why was I not offered the inspection and oil change at the same time, and why my service plan was changed without consent, I wasn't happy also mentioned that changing my plan without my consent was fraud. I received a call back saying that the inspection would be reduced to £119 said I wasn't happy and wanted to take this further then received a call later to say inspection would be free with a pollen filter change as well. It pays to complain people

My car is due it's first service and inspection at 18000 miles. Just to get an idea of quotes I my local dealer to get a price and they came back at £402. Said to them not chance and they came back at £362. Needless to say I declined.

I then rang the dealer who I go to for my warranty work and they came back with £352 but without me asking said they could do it at £300. I then asked if they could do any better and I was told they could do it for £250 by giving me the parts at cost. I've decided to book it in as £250 doesn't seem a too bad price considering what some people have been quoted.

Fairly expensive still I'm afraid. But not terrible.

I was quoted £255 with parts or £110 without parts. And the parts for an oil service don't cost £145 :D

Oh I know it's expensive considering what's involved mate :grinning:

I carried out an oil change at 9000 miles myself and that cost me £40 for oil, filter, and new sump plug/washer. Pollen filter will be £15 max. So there charging me £195 for labour.

Someone has to pay for a window cleaner to clean all the glass at the dealership :D

It's the so called inspection that gets us. Nothing but the free health check with a few extra checks.

Ha fair enough :D

Lol :p

Check out local specialists if you want. That's what I'm doing. Got confirmation from Audi UK that it wouldn't be a problem on the PCP. And it is working out at £115 all in (with me supplying the parts in that cost) :D

And they are able to update the online service history somehow

My local specialist actually quoted me more than Audi to do my oil change!

I was just £200 for my first oil change on my Fiesta ST...
I felt a little ripped off there! :p

When I bought my 8V I took out a service plan for £20 a month. So my first service was £240, but then so was my second and all subsequent services and - if I had kept it long enough - the cost of each MOT would also have been covered. Needless to say, when I bought my A4 I opted for the service plan once again. However, this time I pay £12 a month provided I don't exceed 10,000 miles a year. I can only conclude that the A4 is easy to maintain.
