LOL, they expect you to hear every single word from the other end of the house
And yet don't hear you when you're in the same room lol

LOL, they expect you to hear every single word from the other end of the house but wouldn't notice a spin dryer full of spanners in the boot.
Film it when it is doing the fault, that is what I did & it was enough to present a warranty claim, although they couldn't actually fault it on the day it went in.I have a light clicking/rattle/creak coming from the MMI unit. I asked the Audi tech's to have a listen when I took my car in for another issue but they couldn't hear anything. They said they greased the mechanism but it's still there- I'll take it back in and take a technician for a drive so they can hear it while I'm there. Warranty expires in October so I have until then to prove to them and get it fixed!
If anyone knows of a specific issue code (I don't know the proper term!) which I could reference for the technician's to look up that'd be useful.
The warranty write up is very lacking in concise detail, but it can be summed up as removed & insulated.what was the fix on the bpillar buzz as i have it as well.
It's quite difficult to pick up on video though as it's such a 'light' sound, no harm in giving it a try though.Film it when it is doing the fault, that is what I did & it was enough to present a warranty claim, although they couldn't actually fault it on the day it went in.
It was Tetbury Audi. Can you give more info, where did you get it fixed please ?
TBH my noise was no louder than a retractable pen clicking & my phone managed to pick it up enough for the tech to confirm he could hear it as well. At least if you're doing the clip at your leisure you can do as many 'takes' as you want to make sure you get the full extent of the noise without being rushed to demonstrate it on a short road test at the garage... where it usually decides to behave itself!.It's quite difficult to pick up on video though as it's such a 'light' sound, no harm in giving it a try though.
The drivers side window rattle I had since I bought my s3, window up in wet conditions....was in many times before but not fixed...went in again yesterday and apparently there is a fix for this issue on Audi system....so Im having this done in 3 weeks along with replacement seat belt buckle which makes an annoying squeek when someone is sat in the passenger seat ! Lets hope they get it right this time, car is in for two days We have been the guinea pigs of the new MQB platform....Audi should be rewarding us !
Do know the code unfortunately, take it in and get it looked at under warranty, mines in mcr audiInteresting. I have a similar rattle so I'd be keen to know of any code for the fix in the system.
Dont not do !!! F ing keyboard ! 3 weeks to get an f'ing courtesy car for the fix...wont hold my breathDo know the code unfortunately, take it in and get it looked at under warranty, mines in mcr audi
Took half an hour over the weekend to take a look at the roof and fascia. Generously applied some felt tape to anything that looked like it might rattle.
In the case of the roof, it was the flappy bit at the front just flapping around and knocking on the bit where it folds down to.
Now, it's mostly silent. Now I've just got a rattle in the driver's door somewhere.
Couldn't be bothered to take it to the dealer. Whole job was probably quicker than driving there lol.DIY fix hey....is it out of warranty or cant you be ***** to take it in to a main dealer ?

4 in total over 20k miles / 1 yr. Squeaky front wishbone bushes resolved approx 12 months ago (Tech document to support this) & haven't squeaked since, much to my pleasant surprise. This week - Mechanical gear noise & spring twang from MMI when retracting (luckily I'd filmed it as perfectly silent when taken into my retailer), new MMI to resolve as my film clip supported a valid warranty claim. B pillar / Seat belt top mount area buzz (kidnapped Audi tech for drive across town to road where I could guarantee to replicate it, car was filled with fuel so road test it as much as required to rectify... which they have). OS dr rattle by the silver trim (Dr panel R&I to insulate / tighten). 1 month of warranty remaining so hopefully that's an end to it.

Half an hour or possibly a bit longer lol !. Or if you can get a video clip on your phone they'll accept that too.How long did you collar the tech guy for? My issue is around the b pillar area. However the Audi near me has mainly smooth dual carriageway roads so it's nearly impossible to replicate.
I have the same rattle. I find that pushing the break light up towards the rear window stops it for a day or two. Please let me know how you get on as I am going to book mine in in April when I am off work.I have a really annoying creaking and squeaking from the rear upper window area, I think it's where the window meets the upper rear brake light housing but I'm not 100% sure.
It's going in at the end of the month to have it checked out, I'm hoping it gets sorted as it's really detracting from the otherwise enjoyment of driving the car.

Only passenger seat belt when no one is sitting in the seat..
'SNAP'!...ah ha ... I have that rattle too
'SNAP'!...
I think it's the plastic strip that adjusts where the buckle hangs knocking against the plastic interior on the 'B' pillar' ??..I haven't got round to detecting where exactly on the seat belt assembly the rattle is but have identified it is from the seatbelt.
As if I plug the seat belt in on the passenger side, the rattle goes !
Car is in for a service next week so I am wondering whether to mention to them ??

Please don't trade that car in..... Hate to think of its new owner lolnothing rattles when you have no interior.
