Hi

I have an ipod gen 4 120g that i've been using fine for ages.

but now for some reason the audi mmi in my A3 is not recognising it anymore. when I connect the ipod, mmi does not recognise it.

The ipod itself does not show mmi on it either, however the icon for it appears in the top right of the screen to show its charging

can anyone shed any light on this? I've restarted both the ipod and audi mmi but still it wont recognise the ipod.

i havent updated the software on the ipod, so i dont get why it was working before but now its not

Could you put a pic of the ipod and the cable that you use? You need the Blue cable or the Red cable, depending of the connector and version (and generation) of the ipod.

Has the car been serviced recently? Audi may have updated the firmware on the infotainment system. Failing that, it can only be the cable surely?

ill try to get a photo of the cable.

i had a service but it was not with audi, and the ipod was connect after the service.

im guessing it may be a faulty cable. bit strange that it still charges the ipod

checked and i have the cable with the blue connector.

if it is faulty where can i get another one? anyone know the part number ?

Is there not a sticker on the car plug end of the cable?
